Mavic : Trois victoires durant la fin de semaine

Tout d'abord, vendredi, le 24 février, lors de la première étape du Tour de Langkawi, David Zabriskie (Garmin-Barracuda) a remporté un victoire convaincante en devançant son plus proche poursuivant d'une minute. Suite à cette épreuve chronométrée, Zabriskie s'est emparé du maillot jaune de leader qu'il détient toujours après quatre étapes. Le Tour de Langkawi se poursuit demain avec la présentation de la 5e étape allant de Ayer Keroh à Pandan Indah sur 187.2 kilomètres. La 10e et dernière étape sera présentée ce dimanche, 4 mars.

Également, samedi, le 25 février, Sep Vanmarcke (Garmin-Barracuda) a remporté une première victoire cette saison en s'adjugeant la classique belge Omloop Het Nieuwsblad devançant au sprint ses deux compagnons d'échappée, Tom Boonen et Juan Antonio Flecha. Vanmarcke a été agressif toute la course en portant plusieurs attaques décisives.

Finalement, dimanche, le 26 février, Eros Capecchi (Liquigas-Cannondale) a remporté le G.P. Città Di Lugano devant Damiano Cunego et Enrico Battaglin. Une attaque décisive au début de l'ascension finale avec quatre kilomètres à faire a permis à l'italien de s'imposer en solitaire.

February 4, 2012. 10 degrees and sunny. Perfect weather for cable cam testing. Went out with the Dunbar guys and got one long line dialled, then got a few other shots to at least cut something together.

1st backflip on Sit Ski

Back in 2004, a flip on skis gone tragically wrong broke Josh Dueck’s back and left him as a T11 – full paraplegic. For the past 8 years one of his dreams has been to do a flip on snow again. On February 3, 2012, Josh became the first person to perform a backflip on snow in a Sit Ski.

Giro Revolver helmet features in the video. And Josh will be using a Giro carbon race helmet on World Cup rounds this year.

La piste fait 1700 mètres et des vitesses de près de 90 km/h peuvent être atteintes. La caméra GoPro est fixée sur le casque de l'américain Chris Mazdzer.

" Personal note: The fit of these shoes was the best I've ever experienced in a cycling shoe, better, in fact, than my beloved Specialized Pros. Since these were the HV (high volume) edition of the Privateer, my D-width forefoot and toes had the perfect amount of room. I don't consider my feet to be high volume, so I was worried that the ratchet strap might bottom out before getting tight enough, but I was able to crank them down adequately with a few clicks still left. Though Giro's SuperNatural fit kit is not included with these more affordable shoes, I felt like the stock footbed gave my medium arch feet adequate support."

The Garmin-Barracuda team opened their season with a fine victory in the Stage Two TTT at the Tour of Qatar. This win elevated Tyler Farrar to second place on GC.
