For the 2011 race season, professional road teams Garmin-Cervélo and Liquigas-Cannondale will ride the 2011 Wheel-Tyre Systems. Mavic’s product development with these top level teams provides so much added performance that their choice was obvious. And Cameron Meyer (AUS-Garmin-Cervélo) signals a great start to the year by winning the first major race of the season, the Tour Down Under, riding this new Mavic Wheel-Tyre System combination.

What's new for 2011 - Mavic

En 2011, Mavic propose une nouvelle gamme de roues : la ligne SLR est un système roue-pneu incluant six différents modèles qui présentent la nouvelle surface de freinage Exalith qui améliore du même coup la résistance de la jante. La couleur noire intégrale distincte est de mise et crée le nouveau look SSC. Chaque paire est équipée de pneus ou boyaux : Yksion GripLink à l'avant et Yksion PowerLink à l'arrière pour améliorer leurs performances.

In 2011, Mavic offers a new wheel's line: the SLR lineup is a wheel-type system which include six different models which feature the new Exalith braking surface enhancing also the rim strenght. The integral and distinct black color is on the forefront and creates the new SSC look. Each pair is equipped with tires or tubulars : Yksion GripLink at the front and Yksion PowerLink at the rear to enhance their performances.

Le GripLink s'installe à l'avant et procure une adhérence maximale aux endroits stratégiques, une faible résistance au roulement ainsi qu'une résistance élevée à la crevaison et aux entailles. À l'arrière, le PowerLink apporte plus de nervosité, un comportement parfaitement sûr dans les virages et également une résistance élevée à la crevaison et aux entailles. Les deux modèles sont disponible en version pneu ou boyau.

The GripLink is mounted at the front and delivers a superior grip where it matters, a low rolling resistance and a high punctures and cut resistance. At the rear, the PowerLink is highly responsive, safe in cornering and have a high punctures and cut resistance. Both model are available as a tire or a tubular.

Maintenant 100 grammes plus légères grâce à une nouvelle jante profilé de 30mm SUP. Les 20 rayons ultra profilés créent un parapluie optimisé tant à l'avant qu'à l'arrière. Le moyeu arrière est réversible et la paire est disponible seulement en version à pneu. 1895g la paire.

Now 100 grams lighter thanks to the new 30mm SUP deep rim profile. The 20 ultra bladed spokes form optimized front and rear dishes. Also featuring a flip-flop rear hub, the pair is clincher only for a total weight of 1895g.

COSMIC

Les quatre modèles de la catégorie route-aérodynamique nommés COSMIC sont mises à jour. D'abord la Cosmic Carbone SR est la plus légère à 1595g la paire. Ensuite, la Cosmic Carbone SL maintenant disponible en version "White" à un poids de 1740g la paire. La Cosmic Carbone SL PowerTap qui utilise le moyeu arrière PowerTap SL 2.4 est livré avec les accessoires PowerTap pour un poids de 1900g la paire. Finalement, la Cosmic Élite se voit attribuer une nouvelle jante à profil haut de 30mm, des rayons droits ultra profilés ainsi que des enjoliveurs de moyeu aérodynamiques, tout cela à un poids de 1770g la paire.

The four models of the road-aerodynamic category named COSMIC are updated. First, the Cosmic Carbone SR is the lighter at 1595g the pair. Then, the Cosmic Carbone SL, now available in White version weight 1740g the pair. The Cosmic Carbone SL PowerTap uses the powerTap Sl 2.4 rear hub and is delivered with PowerTap accessories stopping the scale at 1900g per pair. Finally, the Cosmic Elite gets a new rim with a 30mm deep profile, ultra bladed straight pull black spokes and aerodynamic hub caps, all this for only 1770g per pair.

Ksyrium Equipe

Toute nouvelle, la Ksyrium SR est encore plus légère que le modèle SL, à 1445g, et est superbe avec son coloris noir et blanc. La SL voit le rouge lui apporter une belle touche graphique en 2011. La Elite voit également quelques petites retouches être apportées tandis que le modèle Equipe bénéficie d'une réduction de poids de 40 grammes pour chacune de ses jantes par rapport à l'édition 2010. De plus, elle est maintenant disponible en blanc !

Brand new, the Ksyrium SR is even ighter than the SL model at 1445g and is looking awsome with its blackand white colorsheme. The SL gets some red for some great graphic's highlights for 2011. The Elite also gets some attention as the Equipe benefits from rims shaving 40 grams each compared to the 2010 model. And now available in white too!

Les roues Crosstrail Disc ont une nouvelle extrusion de jante qui optimise la technologie ISM pour un allègement de 25g. Le nouveau design du moyeu avant permet également de sauver 50g pour une paire affichant maintenant 1750g sur la balance. Les modèles Crossride voient leurs graphiques renouvelés avec surtout des changements de couleurs.

The Crosstrail Disc wheelset uses a new rim extrusion which optimize thr ISM technology for a reduce weight of 25g. The new front hub design also shaves 50g to bring the weight down to 1750g. The Crossride models see their graphics be revamped mostly with color changes.

En ce qui a trait aux ordinateurs, les Wintech USB Ultimate et HR bénéficient maintenant d'un nouveau logiciel qui permet une meilleure analyse de vos données.

Finalement, une nouvelle jante fait son apparition : la CXP 22 S. C'est la même jante que celle utilisé sur les roues Aksium. Elle est noire, à oeillets et à joint à tige pour un poids de 510 grammes.

Regarding the computers, the Wintech USB Ultimate and HR now benefit from a new software for better analysis of your data.

Finally, a new rim is added : the CXP 22 S. It's the same rim that is used for the Aksium wheelsets. Featuring a black color, eyelets and pin jointed for a weight of 510 grams.
